OKER
Oker (Mário Fonseca) is an artist from Porto with work in different
areas, from graffiti to urban art, illustration, graphic design and
photography. Versatility defines his works and projects, showing different
aesthetic approaches in his artworks. He mixes organic lines and animated
characters, combining textures and abstract shapes that give a clean look to
his compositions.
THIRD
The work of Third always exceeds the more rooted limits of the urban art
concept. His inspiration comes unquestionably from everyday life, immersed in
urban culture, but he constantly seeks to express his creativity beyond
graffiti, with a strong expression as an illustrator.
His style prioritizes the representation of three-dimensional structures
with a touch of realism.
This work results from the refinement of painting techniques and the
representation of the human figure often caricatured, nevertheless these
representations reproduce images that are not very far from realistic drawing
in terms of composition.
Third defends the search for his creative direction, originality and
perfection, seeing himself as the only one able to set limits to his
expression, although he never does so himself. The artist pursues constant development,
and his main inspiration is everyday life, portraying experiences, having
himself as the center, the catalyst of all inspiration.
DRAW
Frederico Draw is a member of Colectivo Rua that uses spray cans as if
they were pencils, making portraits of generally unknown characters. His unique
style lends lyricism to the subject represented and makes each wall resemble a
sketchpad in which pencils are replaced by spray paint. The theatrical
intensity of his portraits is emphasized by the level of detail of the gazes,
in clear contrast to the rest of the face.
CONTRA
The work of Contra (1984) has roots in different areas, from graffiti to
abstract art, with his focus being the painting of murals and the construction
of art installations. In a mostly manual process, these areas culminate in a
visual miscellany that reflects his experiences, thoughts and ideas. At the
basis of his work is a constant search for new approaches and techniques that
enhance the development and evolution of his compositions. He explores new
textures through the use of recycled materials and seeks to give a new life to
obsolete objects. He is an integrant member and co-founder of Colectivo RUA.
THE CAVER
Born in Lisbon (1983), THE CAVER is primarily a street artist, but he has
also brought his work into galleries and worked frequently with some of the
most important Portuguese and multinational brands. His background is
traditional graffiti which he started doing regularly on the streets since 1998
but nowadays we can see his work evolved and refined in large façades and
murals in many cities in Portugal and in the world. His work is characterized
by the use of simple but very strong forms, combined with a harmonious
composition of colors and an often enigmatic content.
FEDOR
Fedor is an artist born in Porto, where he currently lives and develops
most of his work.
He started his career in street art in 2000, and shortly after founded
the collective Maniaks with Neutro and Mots, also from the same city. In 2014,
he becomes a member of Coletivo Rua, one of the most important collectives to
come out of Porto in these days. His work is versatile, adapting various
languages in order to meet each challenge, however, it is for the illustrative
style and lettering composition that he is best known.
Fan of contrasting and vibrant palettes, he pays special attention to
the line that defines his shapes, which is almost always very strong and
dynamic. He has already developed several professional works for
municipalities, companies or private clients, as well as some solo or
collaborative exhibitions, but he also likes to leave his work in the streets
of Porto, so that all citizens have access to it for free. It is quite common
to see his mascot, which is inspired by wolves and weasels, represented in his
works, usually sarcastically inserted in everyday situations of a human life.

and cartoon, shows us the dexterity of 6 consecrated artists, in their greatest
intervention carried out as an artistic collective. Fedor, Oker, Noise (Contra
